Development of large-scale multi-wavelength optoacoustic and ultrasound mesoscopy for biomedical applications

Main projects

  • Development of an optoacoustic mesoscope with focus towards high usability for clinical settings and advanced reconstruction procedures
  • Writing advanced reconstruction code accelerate through CUDA
  • Modelling acoustic wave propagation and detection through ultrasound sensors
  • Modelling of light propagation in scattering media through Monte Carlo simulations
  • Application oriented projects include human skin imaging at multiple wavelengths and screening for genetically encoded proteins providing improved optoacoustic contrast
